Our super friendly siberian huskies are racing athletes and complete some of the world´s toughest long distance sled dog races each year. In April, it is time for them to have fun after running thousands of kilometers,  and so is for you – the days are long, sunny and warm, and the snow is plentiful.

Program:

Sunday
Arrival and introduction, short program such as meeting the huskies, equipment, sled, and dog team demo. (depending on time of arrival).

Monday to Friday:
Learning how to drive a dog team and various sledding tours in the mountains, from easier, shorter trips, to full day trips with picnics and ice fishing. On a clear night we can also make a night mushing trip, which is an exquisite experience. The biggest challenge will be an overnight tour, on which you will feel the connection not only with the huskies, but with the elements themselves, while taking care of your team, preparing food outside, and sleeping in a tent.

Saturday
Walk in the beautiful area of the Nature Reserve, showshoeing or a short fishing trip - depending on the time before departure and the group's interest. Departure.

What's included:
Accommodation in heated cabins, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, fishing tickets, tents, sleeping bags, outdoor mushing and cooking equipment, guides, airport/bus/train station pick up and drop off in Östersund.

What's NOT included:
Travel expenses, aditional snacks and sweets (available for purchase on location), outdoor clothes, inner and outer garments, boots.

Please note: You will receive a list of recommended clothes, footwear and accessories, with your booking confirmation.

Fitness Level:
This program is suitable for adults. While it doesn´t require any extra special skills, you should be fit and able to withstand the daily exposure to the mountain environment, and the handling of a dog team.

Travel Tips:
The easiest way to get here is by airplane. You can fly from your city to Stockholm and from there to Åre/Östersund airport. Good deals on airplane tickets: CSA, SAS, Ryan Air. You can also come to Östersund by train, or by bus.

For this tour, we highly recommend you to book your travel schedule so your arrival is as early as possible and your departure as late as possible.

Important Notice!: This program will only take place when at least 2 persons attend. If you are already booked, but are the only one for the given date, we will offer you the next available date or you can attend the Spring Mushing & Outdoor Week, in which case you will be refunded the program price difference.
